Roll on January ......
After all the upset that I had with trying to adopt Millie and failing I am SO EXCITED I have spoken twice to a breeder in Germany today who is a member on here and the Gremlin has been renamed - she is now Lourdes or LouLou for short. I feel so proud to be allowed this kitten, well she will be about 9 months when she arrives in the UK to my house. I cant wait .....xxxx

Oh Debbie the blog is fantastic, thank you so much. I bought Buddy 2 new teddies today, one for him and one to get his scent on and send to Lourdes. When I send it, I will put a new one in as well so LouLou can put her scent on it for him. Give her a big kiss and cuddle from me to be big and brave on Friday, I'll be thinking of her xxx

This is so exciting, congratulations Karen and Debbie! The blog is a great idea especially as you can't exactly visit. How old will LouLou be in January when she meets her new family? Such dedication to pull her through those early weeks, you've clearly worked wonders x

She will be about 9 months when she gets here. I named her Lourdes as a tribute to the hard work and dedication that has gone into making sure this little miracle kitten survived. I would have loved to have any of Debbie or Amber's cats but feel especially honoured to be allowed this very special little girl. As I posted before I hand reared Fudge and know how much hard work that was and he didn't have any of the problems LouLou has had. But I also know what a loving, happy healthy cat he turned out to be. I did hear LouLou on the phone on Monday I'm expecting high phone bills from now on due to ringing Germany until she gets here and with updates afterwards.
I've been looking at cat trees, toys, beds etc today but given that she sleeps on Debbie's bed and Buddy sleeps on mine I think I might just get a bigger bed lol. Buddy was fine with Storm the little foster kitten we had recently and we now have a foster cat, female this time and they are getting on fine. She is going on 1st September to a forever home but we will probably have some more short term fosters til Christmas to socialise Buddy more.
