    Longfellow at 5 Months

I just wanted to share some updated photos of Longfellow. At 5 months, he weighs about 4.8 kg. I am noticing that not all Maine coons have a coat as long as Longfellow's. It's a bit of a chore to keep it untangled and free of debris as he likes to play in the container garden on the deck.

Good looking boy. Nice to see another cat around the same age as Basil.

Thank you, fellow Maine cooners! Longfellow has been a great addition to the family, though now that he's bigger than the other two cats, they are not as nice to him. He plays a bit rough for their cranky older personalities. The straight-eared Scottish fold is almost three and cannot out-wrestle the 5-month old Longfellow. Poor Angus has taken to hissing--something I had never heard before Longfellow came along--, but I'm hoping that neutering Longfellow at 8 months will calm him down a bit. I'm attaching a picture of when the two were buddies, when Longfellow was a wee kitten and did not bully Angus or steal his treats.Longfellow at 5 Months-longfellow-angus.jpg

Aww that's not good to hear. I have been lucky I think all of my cats and dog took to Basil straight away. River my domestic shorthair has been hit with a car has three teeth and a bionic leg has a bit of a growl but that's usually because he is a bit sore.
