Fat cat!!! What does yours weigh?
How much does your MC weigh?
We have a female 13month 2 week old indoor only MC and she is of the 'chunky' kind rather than long and lean like our last Coonie (different breeder).
Just had her weighed at the Vets and she is 6.66kg. She has a bit of a pouch on her and I/the vet agreed she is a bit overweight, but I forgot to ask her by how much!!!!
So just wondering how she compares to others? Please can you specify age and gender?
Many thanks
Lolly

Lolly,
Wow, that is a big Catty! I will weigh Miss Ginger when she gets close enough to me to catch her! She is currently in the "mommy can't catch me phase of the morning" I am waiting for her to make her next loop past the office. She can be bought with treats! Ginger is a girl she is 7 months and weighs 3.62 kg. Ginger has the long lanky body type, she is extremely long in my opinion. Her dad looked downright scrawny due to his length and she is a mirror image of him.

Ruby neutered female 19mths 7kg.... compare that to one of the boys 13yrs & at his highest weight he was only 6.70kg now less but shows how the breeding lines can come into play a lot with weight, the males I have from Ruby's breeding lines have come in at around the 10kg but are a lot heavier boned than the other boy who is tall, long & slender.....love both types though as they all make their presence felt in stature........
Ruby hasn't got any "spare" flesh on her but a lot of the girls do tend to get luv handles, daughter's cat has from a very early age but she isn't overweight at all, just pull back a bit on food if you really think she is a bit on the plump side,bless.....x

Neevie is neutered female 2 and a half years old and weighs 6,1kg - she's not exceedingly tall for a MC, I think, well may be on the smallish side though my vet keeps telling me she's "perfect" (just had to fit that in ;-) ) she keeps growing up I think.
I just let her eat whatever she wants which was A LOT till she got neutered, and she never put on any weight but kept growing up - and then when she got neutered she cut back herself and we bearly have to feed ber 2 pouches a day + a handful of dry food now... but she seems to have stabilized as far as length is concerned...

OK - mixed bunch here ... all are neutered ... Finn, Marco and Tess are all two & a half years old, they all weigh in at 7.2 kg - Tess is rather plump tho and manages to hoover any left overs very effectively if we don't pick them up in time ... Lily and Archie are 8 months old ... Lily's 4.8 kg and Archie's a hefty 6.2 kg ... he's very solid, not fat at all - think he's going to be one big boy
