Dear Merlin: Leaf piles are not potties!

Yesterday was a beautiful day, so I decided to catch up on yard work and let the boys play outside. Sampson was surprised to find Merlin in "his yard" and puffed his tail, but then he realized who it was and relaxed. He is happy to have an outdoor buddy and it's quite a sight to see a fat cat get so excited, tearing around the yard and climbing trees! I was busy raking leaves and keeping an eye on Merlin, and I saw him checking out a leaf pile-no big deal, Sampson plays in them all the time and "attacks" leaves. Then Merlin squatted, and in slow motion I said "NOOOOOOOO" but of course it was too late....He trotted away like it was no big deal LOL! I think my gloves will just get tossed out after havin to clean up that mess...

    Ha love it

I have grown some cat grass in a tray for my 2 boys and they have shown interest in it but not sure how much they have eaten. So I am watching Shadow have a sniff around it and then what does he do, he promptly jumps into the tray and pees in it!!! I said NO that is NOT what that is intended for lol!! SO I have given up on the grass in a tray and will now just give them a hairball paste as its far less hassle!!

I thought I'd plant fresh catnip for Sampson since he loves it so much. I got a nice plant and put it in a pretty ceramic pot on the back step. Well, Sampson found it and wouldn't stop eating the plant, dug into the dirt and pulled the entire thing out by its roots, pushed the pot over and broke it, and growled at me when I tried to take it away from him!! Silly me, we can't have nice things with cats!!!
