    When do MC kittens tufts

We have a 3 month old Maine Coon kitten who is supposed to be pure bred. Charles is quirky and adorable, but hasn't grown his tufts yet. How old are Maine Coons usually when they get their tufts?

I am assuming you mean ear tips (Lynx tips). Not all MCs have them, and yours apparently does not as they would be obvious by now (although sometimes siblings chew them off, so that might still be the reason). Breeder should know, as at least least one of the parents probably does not have them either. Our boy Zephyr does not have them. His mom did not, and only one out of the five in the litter ended up with them. From what I have read, this is one of those characteristics that has become much more common in MCs since they were standardized and began being bred. The breed standards (at least for TICA and CFA) do not require Lynx tips.

    When do MC kittens tufts...

Do you mean ear tufts or between the toes tufts....?
Also you said it is "supposed" to be purebred,if babe came from a reputable breeder you should have all the paperwork to prove it is a pedigree.
They all differ anyway, some have super ear tufts right from the word go & some don't really have any, same in a way for their snowshoes, some come with them but they do get longer & thicker, some seem to get them as they mature which can be up to four years, some have hardly any at all, same can apply to the ruff around their necks, two of mine had & kept super ruffs, one got a super ruff at about four years of age & another looks as if he is going to be a non starter unless he also is a very late developer so is a wait & see situation sometimes. The one thing that all MC's have is the ability to turn us very quickly into their doting & obedient slaves & they also seem to get away with just about anything. ..!
Keep us updated on Charles with photos of him growing up.
