Over here most of the good breeders automatically register their babes with one of the associations wether it be for pet or pet/showing that way an eye is also kept on the breeder to make sure that they are not overbreeding with a cat,the only other registrating I have done with any of mine is when I have wanted to show under a different banner & then obviously have had to re register that cat but all the others have just stayed with the one the breeders done. Do none of them register where you are...? There are members on here who live in the same area as you so hopefully they will pop up & say how they got on with their babes,I would say that if you don't want to show & obviously won't be breeding then if registration isn't done then don't worry you will have nothing to loose it is only a bit of paper but a bit of paper that I think the breeder should present to you even if it is after proof that you have had the babe neutered .{that is when some breeders over here give it to you}
Good luck with your kitten hunt {don't think you will be able to stop at one MC,big warning,you won't} they are very addictive,will look forward to hopefully you putting some photos on here for us all to go broody over....
