Tell me I am just being paraniod please !
Its probably me just over reacting but I phoned Dylans breeder today, because we wanted to go down at the weekend to visit as we have done, but she was very ............well..............guarded and said it wasnt possible this weekend. I asked if they were going somewhere, which could have been possible but got told no that it just wasnt convenient. Thing is she hasnt sent me any new pics for a while and I have parted with good money for this kitten (as you will all know) and now she wont let me visit him. If she had said why then it wouldnt be a problem but it was like she couldnt wait to get me of the phone !
Oh its probably just me I know, just a bit worried because she has never been so short with me before, and I dont pester her honestly !
Sorry just wanted to rant !! xChris X

ChrisX, That does sound odd, but hopefully she is having personal issues that are not about your kitten. I hope she gets back to you to assures you everything is alright with your baby Dylan. I waited to pick Ginger up until she was 11 weeks, and I was getting very impatient. I am sending prayers your way!

oh no! well I don't think it can be that you are pestering her, actually what I found is that they're usually quite happy to be pestered - they quite like it when you take a keen interest, it shows their kitten is going to be well cared for...
did you ask her if there was a problem with the kitten?
wait to see what the others say, but for me, I would call her back and explain that she got me worried and ask out-right if there's a problem... but i'm not the most patient person and when I get a bee in my bonnet I get more and more rattled till I break everything trying to get answers - so as I said, wait and see what the others advise...
how did you get her name? if it was through a friend may be check with the friend if they know something?

I would be upset too especially as she offered neither explanation or a time when you could go see your babe, could you try emailing her & ask for an updated picture of your babe to drool over & an idea of when you can go visit again.....

I agree, email her, tell her you feel disappointed at not being able to visit your kitty and you were confused and worried with her response and hopefully she'll be honest.
It may be she was genuinely busy and didn't appreciate how she has made you feel, or she has a personal problem she's dealing with and you caught her at a bad moment. We all have those phone calls where you just don't feel like talking and you don't stop to think how you are being perceived on the other end.
However, if you email and get no reply or she won't fix a date for you to visit then there may well be cause for concern.

Thank you all for your kind words of wisdom I am going to take the bull by the horns tonight and phone her again. I will be very polite as I always am and ask if maybe I got her on a bad day and apologise and ask for pictures of Dylan to be sent and make arrangements for next weekend.
Thank you all once again for your insights, I will let you know later on how I fair ! xChris X
